What can I do to improve my health that's NOT weight related?

As the title says. My weight is OK for my height. I'm not particularly sedentary but not particularly active. Diet is, presumably OK. What else can I do to get to optimum health?

Good: plenty of exercise, lots of veg & fruit for fibre vitamins minerals & flavinoids.

Don't ... smoke/drink to excess, cut sleep short, worry about things you don't have to worry about, use smelly chemicals inside your home if you can avoid it, eat ingredients you don't understand.

Do Get outside a lot, off screens, change your focal distance often, stand up for yourself.

Physical health: Fasting.
Mental health: Learn something challenging, e.g. a new language

Sun protection but adequate daylight and fresh air

Fresh veg, limit processed foods, enty of water, low/no alcohol, limit caffeine. Eat a rainbow.

Find purpose, give something back, find a social 'team' or community, practise something creative, keep learning.

Think about your posture, my physio told me to 'walk my height as people (especially women) tend to slouch as they get older.

imamearcat · 28/07/2020 08:08

You don't just have to do exercise to manage weight. Doing cardio and being lit really improves your lung and heart fitness / health.
