Just after some reviews really! I'm considering signing up and doing it but before I do so, is it worth it? I plan to do it in a spacious garage with gym mat type flooring - but do I need any equipment? Is there a good range of classes to choose from?

Any feedback appreciated

CharlOtteSometime Body balance requires a younger mat and I have seen amazing results actually. I've never had toned upper arms before and now I am really happy with them and the skin condition seems to have improved as well might be something to do with blood flow? I wanted to get toned without bulking up too much which seems to have happened. We've also been away this weekend and done a lot of walking and I really felt my legs are very strong now and normally I would get fatigued but didn't. So would definitely recommend.

@CharlOtteSometime - the challenge does look good and there are options to choose one of 2 workouts on each day. The FB group is very friendly and supportive. If you think you might slack a bit in your own you can hook up with others who are doing a challenge on FB and it makes you a bit more accountable if you are in a virtual group (if you need that level of accountability!).
They are a great supportive group from what I see.
I hope you enjoy it. It’s certainly made a difference to me and I think it’s well worth it.

Also love it. I just do pump with hand weights and adjust, probably not as good as a bar but hard enough for me!

Ah sorry, only just come back to this.
I got the JLL approx £300 from amazon.
It has a 20kg fly wheel, which makes it a good budget bike. Nice and compact.
I’ve had it about 2 and a half months now and am happy with it. It’s not as good as the ones at the gym, but they are over £1000.
I do need to regularly check for screws that are coming loose, but I don’t think it’s enough to put me off and send it back.
I’m also considering cancelling my gym membership. So actually I would recommend it!

I signed up last month after we decided to cancel our David Lloyd memberships in lockdown. Now I'm wondering why I just didn't do that sooner, I used to go to DL 5 times a week and I did try after DD was born, I loved Pump and Grit but the classes always coincided with dinner bath and bed. I was in a constant rush to get there and rush to get back as DH wanted to do his activity after. I ended up either never going or being too late and ending up running on the treadmill which did fuck all for me.

Now I can do them whenever is best for me, and I've discovered body combat which I love! Not step though, I nearly fell over the first time trying to keep up, and the second time landed skewif off the step and hurt my foot, it's clearly not for the uncoordinated Grin

I use handweights for pump, they work fine, and I already had a step.

I did the free trial at the beginning of lockdown and have now signed up. I love Body Combat and also do Body Pump with just a set of hand weights. I do a bit of Body Balance too. Love that there are different lengths of workouts and also ones that focus on different parts, eg 20 min upper body, or 15 min cardio.
