How long would you wait at the hairdressers for?

First appointment back after lockdown, they already moved my first appointment back 3 weeks so they could do renovations.
I was on time. The lady I have was in the process of cutting and blow drying another client when I arrived and then had to wash and blow dry someone else after that.
Then when I sat down she didn’t have my notes and as I have no idea of the number on the colour I have she had to go off somewhere else to find out. Then came back and moaned that my notes on the system were obviously wrong.

I’ve been here 45 minutes so far and nothing has been done. I appreciate they’re getting used to the new processes but this is getting ridiculous! We’ve got friends coming over this afternoon and they’re going to arrive before me at this rate.

Depends on how desperate I was to have my hair done, and how important it was to have that particular hairdresser.
I suspect, whilst I was in there, I'd probably wait, because if I didn't it might be weeks before I could have it done again but I would probably look around for other recommendations in the future and I would tut and harumph whilst I was there. I hate lateness though.

45 minutes is a long time, I’d be pissed off.

I had my hair cut last weekend and my hairdresser was a bit behind but rather than make me wait, he asked the apprentice to wash my hair and give me a free conditioning treatment to pass the time. I was very happy with that.

I once went to the hairdresser in pre covid times, I was the first appointment of the day at 9am. The hairdresser didn't even turn up to open the salon for another 20 minutes after that because she had been to the cash and carry, and then spent ages faffing about with her bloody dog that she brings to work, trying to get it settled in its crate. If I hadn't really needed my hair doing that morning for an event I was going to in the afternoon I would have walked out, totally unprofessional. I never went back to that salon.

Aren't they meant to leave time between client bookings for cleaning? I went for a cut and blow dry last week and they factored in 2 hours for that
Appointment took about 50 minutes but they deep cleaned the area and tools used for the next client...

To be honest I don’t think I’ll be going back again.
It wasn’t my usual hairdresser as mine has decided not to come back to work. The colour she did wasn’t really what I usually have, lots of orange streaks amongst the ashey blonde. I don’t know if they’d just overbooked themselves but she was so pissed off the whole time, even slamming her phone down onto the trolley at one point. Her next appointment arrived as she was just about to start cutting my hair and she told her she’d only be 5 mins Hmm

It’s a good 30 minute drive but I’ve kept going because I trust my old hairdresser but I think I’ll look for somewhere closer to home now.
