Do flexible jobs exist?

I'd really like to get back to work on a part time basis.

My problem is I have no family to help with childcare, 2 toddler aged kids.
DH works full time but on shifts, gets rota at the weekend for week ahead. That unfortunately can't change its the nature of the job.

Ideal world I love to be able to work around my DH. But slim chance.

Every job I see asks for flexible applicants early mornings, evening, weekends etc which I can be.

Feel so stuck. I just want to work

What are your skills? What type of job are you looking for?

You will have to use paid for childcare like everyone else. Even people I know who have parents, the kids' grandparents help, use paid childcare as well.

We don't have any support from our family. I work in a school which means I get the holidays off at the same time as the kids. When they were younger we paid a childminder to look after the kids all day
Now the eldest is at school she just looks after him before and after school. Even with flexible jobs I think it is unlikely to have 2 working parents without some form of paid childcare.

I'm not against paying childcare, although neither of us are high earners so will lose most of my wage to childcare but still hope to be better off than now so I am happy with that.

childcare is week days only and I'm struggling to find to jobs that are for hours that would be within nursery hours.

Job wise I'm going to work on building a career when kids are in school for now I just need the extra money coming in.

Job history is a bit deflating mostly various roles in call centres & retail. If I'm honest I hated it but it was permanent job which I needed so stuck it out. I'd do it again if I had to but still to find a job that I can work with set nursery hours.

Loads of call centres are employing people on a WFH basis at the minute. You might be lucky enough to get a shift that worked with nursery hours.

Majority of call centres around me are temp work from home but it's shift work. If its not flexible (on their part) it's set shifts but including weekends and evening but this won't work for us.
That's the first jobs I looked at.
