What would you buy in John Lewis?

Been given a £75 John Lewis voucher for a special birthday. Would like to buy something nice / to keep rather than waste it on little things. Don't normally shop in John Lewis. Don't really want to buy clothes. Other than that, I'm open to ideas...

So if you had £75 to spend what would buy? Inspire me....

Something for you, not the house. So make up, purse/bag, perfume, sunglasses, Jewellery.

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 21/07/2020 15:07

I got some beautiful vases as a housewarming present last year.

poppet31 · 21/07/2020 15:09

I'd get some lovely skincare.

I buy everything there. Nice frying pan, teapot, candlesticks, nice chess set... Those are my last few purchases at that price anyway! Also the range of nice summer dresses is worth a look on the website.

sergeilavrov · 21/07/2020 15:16

I’d get something that gives me a project I think. Like this stunning wallpaper. Or I’d see how many whisky truffles it takes to get tipsy.

BrowncoatWaffles · 21/07/2020 15:17

Right now I fantasise about buying a lovely coffee machine - lockdown is totally fine and working from home indefinitely is ok, but really good coffee would make me very happy.

Or a lovely fleecy blanket.

breadcakebiscuits · 21/07/2020 15:31

You can buy anything there! I’m literally counting down the days until mine re-opens on the 30th July.

My last favourite things I bought there were extra large pillows and pillowcases. I never knew what I’d been missing out on. I’m now saving up for a whole set of their Crisp & Fresh bedlinen.

TheHighestSardine · 21/07/2020 15:31

Something where the extra warranty is valuable, like a Kindle or towards a laptop.

Nanasueathome · 21/07/2020 15:34

Jo Malone
Neom

JL sell lovely towels, bedlinen, china, kitchen stuff, garden stuff.
Great customer service, in shop but also for online or phone shopping.

Bedding/new duvet and pillows/crockery

BikeRunSki · 21/07/2020 16:32

@breadcakebiscuits which pillows did you get. I need new ones! I bought exurbrive new ones last years, but they’ve gone thin and lumpy already!

chaoticisatroll55 · 21/07/2020 16:37

A set of molten brown shower gel. That's about £75.

Haretodaygonetomorrow · 21/07/2020 16:52

@BikeRunSki I recommend the dunlopillo latex ones.

OP: there’s lots of lovely homewares.

katy1213 · 21/07/2020 16:56

Duvet cover - perfume - and I love their kitchen/china depts, so it wouldn't take me long to find something there.
Although I've had vouchers in the past and they just got absorbed into the Waitrose shop.

A plush throw for lazy evenings on the sofa

BikeRunSki · 21/07/2020 18:40
