Peaches or grapes? I found that they go very well with grilled chicken Grin

These have to be pregnancy cravings, its the only explanation!Confused

DisgraceToTheYChromosome · 17/07/2020 20:39

You are deranged. Nothing on Page 1 is food once it's been on a pizza.

SerenityNowwwww · 17/07/2020 20:41

A pizza place near us does Nutella pizzas. That’s just wrong. I know it’s really just Nutella on bread, but still...

@CatBatCat

Fucking animals.
No more needs to be said.

The whole of Italy is vomiting right now.

SummerPeony · 17/07/2020 20:45

Christmas cake and cheddar cheese is good!!

I also love tuna and olives on pizza!

SerenityNowwwww · 17/07/2020 20:46

Cheese and honey is nice - I discovered this in Italy!

HelpMeh · 17/07/2020 20:53

If you like pineapple on pizza then chances are you'll like peach on pizza, it's lovely. I tried it in the best pizza place I have ever found to date, which bizarrely, was in La Paz, Bolivia.

HelpMeh · 17/07/2020 20:54

Yes, cheese and honey is also nice. I live in the Middle East and it's popular here.

Dinosauratemydaffodils · 17/07/2020 20:59

In Mexico we had spicy mince, jalapenos, avocado, corn and cheese on a pizza. Was delicious.

My favourite from our local pub is smoked salmon and king prawns.

trumpisaflump · 17/07/2020 21:03

Best pizza topping ever is Boursin cheese. It melts a bit while cooking and is amazing!

CherryValanc · 17/07/2020 21:16

Only fruit acceptable on a pizza is tomato.

PaperMonster · 17/07/2020 21:19

I remember working on a newspaper many years ago and the local pizzeria would send us pizzas - once they had tangerine segments on. Was a bit odd.

DaffodilsAndDandelions · 17/07/2020 21:53

@EasilyDelighted I'm with you. Fruit and meat is all kinds of wrong. Pork & Apple, duck & orange, turkey & cranberry, bacon & Brie & grape, sweet & sour, raisins in curry, apple & cheeseboard. It's everywhere, what is wrong with people??

DuchessMinnie · 19/07/2020 16:40

I once had a chicken curry and banana pizza in Stockholm. Best pizza ever.

Daffodils and Easily Delighted
Exactly. Meat/savoury and fruit is wrong. Ugh. Especially chucking fruit into a salad (pomegranate seeds are hard to pick out!). DH knows how much I hate meat/fruit combos, but dished up lemon chicken. Horrible

EasilyDelighted · 19/07/2020 18:13

I was served a seafood salad with strawberries and orange pieces in it once, all kinds of wrong. Love seafood, love oranges and strawberries, but not together.

TheOrchidKiller · 19/07/2020 20:37

Peaches belong with ice cream, not in a salad (looking at you, MIL).

Raisins belong in Christmas cake, not couscous.

Apricots & plums go in a tart for pudding, not with pork.

Ditto for sultanas, although they shouldn't be allowed anywhere, they are the devil's work.

Candyflosscookie · 19/07/2020 22:55

One of the nicest pizzas I've ever had was chicken, charred pear, some kind of awesome cheese and a scattering of chopped nuts. Gorgeous. Very high end quirky place, they said it was one of their best sellers!

All the no fruit/meat people, you're missing out on some absolutely classic and delicious flavour combinations. Let your mouth have some fun Wink

EasilyDelighted · 19/07/2020 23:25

No thanks. I've tried many of the well known combinations (duck snd orange, lamb and apricot, pork and peach, gammon and pineapple) and disliked all of them, as well as things like sultanas in curry. Turkey and cranberry is ok so long as it's sharp and not sweet.
