Thinking about joining but we don't have space for massive bulk buys.
I've heard the Xmas and Halloween stuff is lovely. What else is there to buy? Worth joining?

YenniferOfVengeberg · 16/07/2020 20:21

Washing powder and dishwasher tablets (2 pack)
Amazing macaroni cheese bites.
Multi pack batteries
Soft drinks and wine
Shin cup spicy noodles
Olive oil/pesto

You do need some storage though, take the kickboards off?

Heismyopendoor · 16/07/2020 20:24

Last time we went I bought a case of alcohol free beer, a great pack of dog toys (£9 for three, one would be that price in pets at home), healthy dog treats, kids books, some clothes, 1.6kg bags of chicken nuggets, toilet roll, dried fruits, a laptop, a pretty big white board, big bottles of head and shoulders etc.

And the fuel! Best price for premium diesel! By quite a large chunk. Their Premium diesel (they only sell premium here) is cheaper than supermarket bog standard fuel.

I have the space for big bags of dried fruits and chia seeds as well as the toilet roll. I love their stuff. Your membership is also valid all over the world, handy if you visit other countries that have them.

ItsSpittingEverybodyIn · 16/07/2020 20:33

Ahhh wish we had one closer!

Kpo58 · 16/07/2020 20:37

You want this thread where they asked the same thing earlier today

Agree with above poster, the washing powder/liquid is well worth it. The bakery goods are lovely. Fresh croissants, personalised birthday cakes, gorgeous carrot cake, muffins, cookies, etc, etc. The meat counter is good. Coffee beans are great value and good quality. Bags of frozen chicken breasts are brilliant, decent sized & no added water or salt. Do you know anyone with a membership card who could take you so you could try it?

BogRollBOGOF · 16/07/2020 20:44

The ready meals and partyfood are great too

Evelefteden · 16/07/2020 20:47

Free food walking round
Side of salmon is cheap
Lots of cakes
Sandwich platters
Cheap wolf fleeces
Random Christmas presents

Evelefteden · 16/07/2020 20:49

Oh and hot and spicy chicken wings ( cooked) I think they were about £3:50

Cooked ribs

Cannot even believe I forgot the very very cheap cafe where you can get a hotdog and refillable drink for £1.75

rednsparkley · 16/07/2020 20:50

Croissants
Loo Roll
Dishwasher tablets
Foil
And the double sided Christmas wrapping is AMAZING - really strong and you get approx 78 miles per roll slight exaggeration here may be possible

UncleShady · 16/07/2020 20:56

The foil comes with the same magic never endingness as the Christmas wrapping people.

MeOldBamboo · 16/07/2020 21:19

Massive sausages, big bag of lentil crisps, cheese blocks, the hot salmon salad is lovely! All the baked goods, bulk bag of teabags. Great for party stuff. Cheap Sketchers

FedUpAtHomeTroels · 16/07/2020 21:36

Cake, massive cakes for Birthdays and other occasions.
Heinz beans,
Massive trays of meat, you split into baggies and freeze.
Wrapping paper and also tissue paper for wrapping. Last pack of white tissue paper lasted 10 years! Massive sheets.
I like the white hotel towels too, thats all we have now.
I used to buy baby clothes, Carters.
Jelly belly jelly beans in a large jar.
Skippy peanut butter in a two pack of big jars.
I've had laptops from there too and vacuum cleaners.

LadyCatStark · 16/07/2020 22:06

The cakes are amazing but they’re in catering packs (you’ll suddenly come to the realisation that all those lovely looking homemade cakes in cafes... aren’t homemade) so unless you looove cake or have a big family, you usually end up throwing some away 😵.

All cleaning products are great. We’ve just bought and amazing set of pans and knives. Sometimes they have good stationery but again it’s in multipacks. The big tubs of sweets are good if your children are good at rationing them 😂. Same with packs of soft drinks if you by them and the bottles of water are super cheap if you use single use bottles anymore.

I don’t think the clothes are cheap TBH.

You must get a slice of pizza from the cafe on the way out (you’ll only need one slice!).

LadyCatStark · 16/07/2020 22:07

Oh and I forgot tea and coffee.

Howcanwehelp · 16/07/2020 22:11

The kids clothes are excellent quality. I bought my two jumpers and they been passed on after years of wear. Massive bags of sugar which I use for baking. Tins of beans and tomatoes (24 at a time). You do need storage unfortunately as everything is catering size.

FedUpAtHomeTroels · 16/07/2020 22:12

You must get a slice of pizza from the cafe on the way out (you’ll only need one slice!)

No you have to buy a whole pizza, dinner sorted and breakfast the next day (unless you have teens)

thatcarolebaskinbitch · 16/07/2020 22:14

We just go for the pizza at the end Grin

Other than that our staples are:
Washing powder
Shower gel
Kitchen towel
Dog food
Kitchen foil (every 5 years!!)
1 kg blocks of cheese
Fresh meat (expensive but quality is 10x that of supermarkets)
The frozen teriyaki rice bags
Lindt balls (buy the packs of 4 boxes and dish out on birthdays)
Alcohol
Underwear

Hopeisnotastrategy · 16/07/2020 22:17

Huge jars of herbs and spices, work out much cheaper than the silly little ones you get in the supermarket.

lachy · 16/07/2020 22:17

I went to the MK one today.

Kirkland dishwasher tablets are great,
The foil is also great,
Tin of galaxy hot chocolate for £3.99,
Meat is good value, blocks of cheese, goyzas (yum)
The wrapping paper at Christmas is well worth the money

And if you don't get a hotdogs and a bucket of pepsi max on the way out you've missed out.

sunshinegirl28 · 16/07/2020 22:17

Vitamin d
Milk very cheap
Fruit is so yummy but expensive
Nappies

It's really not worth it unless you have storage space.

Their stuff is great though especially the meat.

AlwaysCheddar · 17/07/2020 07:31

No one has mentioned the cling film! It’s fantastic! I could dance with it and still use it! It is the best cling film ever!
