...Would you use it?

Or perhaps consider it more like taking out a loan. You apply, get approved, and all the weight comes off at once. Then, for weeks/months/years, whatever the repayment period, you pay it back by dieting for the amount you'd have needed to in order to lose over that 'borrowing period', plus interest, so an extra 0.5lbs or -200kcals per week, because why not, that's how loans work, so that's how this will work too.

Some people are great with money and would never borrow. Would you borrow weight loss?

Some people are great with money and know when to borrow. Would you borrow weight loss?

Some people are god awful with money, and should probably also never borrow weight loss. But heck, would YOU borrow weight loss?

Humour me Grin I'm bored, I've had a long day and I have no agenda. I also am on the fence about if I would or not, so I'd love to hear people's opinions and you're not going to hear any judgements from me!

Considering that not all weight loss methods work, I'd be interested in that sort of thing. Sort like how some solicitors do a no win, no fee thing.

Having said that, a lot of people gain the weight back again, so you'd probably get a load of people who'd stop paying on the grounds that it wasn't working any more. It would cause all sorts of arguments.

Anyway, there are plenty of ways to lose weight for free so I'd probably never sign up for such a thing in the first place.

I would 100,000% do that. If I knew how I was going to look at the end I think that would be such a motivator. It's too easy to look in the mirror on a Friday and go for the take away thinking I'd never have abs anyway feck it. If I was ripped straight away I think I'd be way better. Any time I've done focussed exercise or dieting it's when I start seeing results that my focus is best.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 15/07/2020 19:17

Hell yes!

SilverOtter · 15/07/2020 19:22

Yes but it would have to include cosmetic surgery for all the loose skin etc that would happen with instant weight loss. Or can we dream that away too?

Ever the pragmatist, me.

ICantBelieveThisNameWasntTaken · 15/07/2020 19:42

Oh yes, it includes everything! The skin reduction, body shaping, the works Grin

If you fail to repay the calories, you'll gain back the weight minus the balance of the weight loss you've 'paid for' with any successful calorie reduction. So you'll still get something! I don't know what a calorie credit score would look like though.

Excellent. I'm in then.

ICantBelieveThisNameWasntTaken · 15/07/2020 19:47

See... let's say you take out a loan for £20,000, purely for use for hobbies, interests and personal stuff. You'd spend it all presumably, and then be paying back a few hundred per month with nothing in the bank. That's what would put me off taking out a loan.

BUT... is it the same with the fancy weight loss plan? You will still be looking in the mirror at the body you want, even two years down the line while you're still dieting (with no further visible results) to pay it back. Would it feel as useless as that loan?!

OP posts:
Fatted · 15/07/2020 19:48

No because it is a tendency towards compulsive behaviour that makes me both over eat and over spend.

ICantBelieveThisNameWasntTaken · 15/07/2020 19:56

^^ this is my personal concern too! If I already had 'the body', I'd probably get fed up of feeling hungry dieting with no further results to be seen, and eat a lasagne.

Oh god yes, I'd love this!! I don't mind 'dieting' as such, but progress is so slow that it can be disheartening.

Tootsietoes · 15/07/2020 19:57

I'd like to take just over 2stone off, tighten up my tummy, arms and legs. Can I put in a claus to allow schedule breaks in my repayment diet?

Chesneyhawkes1 · 15/07/2020 19:57

If I was as flippant with calories as I am money I'd be screwed 😂.

ICantBelieveThisNameWasntTaken · 15/07/2020 19:58

I'm currently on a diet, I've lost a bit, I have a loooong way to go. I was thinking how much I'd love to just wake up tomorrow and be the size I want, and I'd keep dieting to make sure I don't lose it, so that's how I dreamed it up Grinnow I want this option!!

OP posts:
Rockbird · 15/07/2020 20:00

Absolutely. I wouldn't be able to sign up quickly enough. Weight loss would help my bad back and I'd be able to get out and play tennis, walk, cycle, all the things I want to do but can't. I would be a model subscriber!

During these difficult times, we know not everybody can stick to their diets. That's why we're giving our customers calorie repayment holidays, so they can binge through the pandemic, and pick up where they left off when they're back in the thick of reality, without gaining a pound.

@Rockbird oooh now there's an interesting point! Exercise would be so much easier. It would be much more than the better fitting clothes 🤔
