I stood on a wasp...

...on Sunday and the pad bit of my foot by my toes is still very sore. Pharmacist has given me some cream as the spray was too painful. It's not swollen or red. DH now says he thinks there is something in there. Has that happened to anyone? What should I do? Will it just come out on it's own? I'm in pain.

Ouch, poor you! I'd have a long bath with epsom salts to soak it and then get DH to have a look with a magnifying glass if possible, and see if there's anything he can get out with tweezers. Disclaimer not an expert!

I left a sting in my DC foot for 3 weeks as I thought it was a mark the stings left. But after 3 weeks I put his foot in a water bath and then scrapped it and the stinger came out... felt a bit bad I left it in that long!!

A warm bath!! Obviously the bath had water in 🤣🙄

We had a wasp nest and the guy that came said to wear shoes outside for a few days because if you tread on one you won’t be able to walk for days. So it’s normal, lots of nerve endings on the soles of your feet apparently.

If you can’t see anything to get hold of, you could try putting a Hydrocolloid dressing (blister plaster) to draw out anything left on the sting, or getting some Magnesium Sulfate paste to put on a dressing.

BlackboardMonitorVimes · 14/07/2020 22:45

I've soaked it and am going to try the magnesium sulphate as we have some. DH is always reminding me to wear shoes, so no one else to blame but me (and the bastarding wasp).
