I have a lot of stressors in my life atm ans need to get a handle on my anxiety- I am doing meditations, exercise etc but could do with cutting out some caffeine and was thinking about herbal teas that were good for sleep and some that would be good for during the day at work.
Any brands that you would recommend/ avoid?
ThanksSmile

If there's a Morrison's near you, they stock 'we are tea' sleep tea, which is lovely.

Twinings 'Calm' tea in the blue box. I find their 'Sleep' tea watery and tasteless, and Calm works just as well.

Another vote for Pukka brand, they do a few different mint combinations which are nice for early evening to help with digestion.

This tea is fantastic:

My friend runs the company- it’s a genuine small business making fantastic teas that they blend themselves!

I had to give up caffeine as it irritated my throat. But I found Dragonfly Roobios Earl Grey and drink it all the time. With or without milk. I love it; much prefer it to traditional tea now.

It’s I go for straight camomile, Just making it now. It’s part of my every night routine.

My favourite non bedtime tea is verbena mint, discovered it in France. Both calming and refreshing.

Camomile and Valerian teas are great for this. Also, try magnesium oil body spray for relaxation too

Camomila · 13/07/2020 07:32

Camomile and fennel is nice too.
Or mint tea made with fresh mint leaves is delicious (you can usually find those tiny bushes of fresh mint at the supermarket, then it can live on a windowsill)

Off to the shops today. I’ll see how many of your refs I can find. Hoping to get some relief.
Blooming night sweats have started to return- sure this is stress related too 🙁

I drink the Pukka Night Time Tea. Valerian is the key ingredient for a good relaxing tea in my experience.

This stuff acts like a powerful sedative for me, literally can't keep my eyes open.

Someone sent me a gift including some T2 Sleep Tight tea bags when I had my baby and I've been treating myself to it ever since (my baby is about to start school!). It's delicious but a bit pricey.

I love lemon verbena. Discovered it at my SIL's. She has a plant and just chops bits off it as necessary. We have now done the same

Pukka peace tea or night time tea. Slàinteach Oidche Mhath for bedtime or Peace for daytime.
Indigo herbs Sleep Deep.
You could mix your own relaxing tea using lemon balm, mint and basil or lemon balm sweet violet and rose petals or chamomile, lemon balm, lavender and a tiny bit of valerian.

BigButtons · 15/07/2020 07:29

I have had the Pukka night night twice now. Blimey it’s strong!😮😮Although I don’t sleep through using it, it does make me very sleepy - I do feel slightly more rested when I wake, which is odd. Hopefully effects will cumulative.
Will get some chamomile too.
Also started taking magnesium tabs at night.
