There is a man sitting on my windowsill

Old cottage, opens straight out on to the road. The sills are fairly low and deep. House is clearly occupied. I'm trying to get DD to nap. He's plonked his arse on the ledge, is leaning right back against the window so he can have a loud conversation with friend.

This is a bit fucking rude, no?

He was probably checking if you were out so he could borrow your hose

I had similar. Came home and found a man lolling against my window talking to his friends. When I drew level i asked if I could help them. They stopped talking and glared at me with surprise so I told them I lived there and assumed they needed help as they were spreadeagled all over my window sill. I have a very hard stare which I fixed on them until they slunk off never to return.

Is it a day for it?

Just heard a muffled thud and a loud conversation at my front door.

There's a middle aged man sat on my door step laughing and joking down his phone.

I opened the door and, having read this thread, wanted to invite him in to sit on a more comfortable seat. Sadly I didn't manage that as someone passing shouted for him to get his "lardy arse of that lady's steps".

He muttered something akin to Sorry Mrs Patterson and bimbled off!

He fucked off very sheepishly.

I started the thread first as was trapped under DD, trying to phone DH who was in the garden to inform him of the news, and expected window sitter to move at any moment, which he didn't 😂

Thinking about it I had some gastric thing entire March. Don't know what it was.

I'd be trying to drag myself back home up a hill and sat on some steps to catch my breath. It was communal steps not private. Lady asked if she could get by and I smiled and said sorry then moved.

Wasn't aware I should have been dancing around flicking fingers

Gave you the fingers, eh?
That’s so disrespectful.

It never ceases to amaze me how men only listen to men.

What a shit!

Until you mentioned he was rude, I think I would have checked he was okay first.

This is hilarious if someone sat on my windowsill I would have been out like a shot and said something similar to what your DH said. As if you would dare sit on someone windowsill!

Cheeky fucker! I’d be getting spikes.

I hate men like this. Acts like an aggressive bully to the woman who taps on the window, then sheepishly slinks off when told by a man. What a prick.

DHW1 if you're a woman you would in all likelihood have got the same response she did for tapping on the window. It's not that the DH handled it better, it's that this prick wouldn't be told by a woman.

@RaveOnThisCrazyFeeling oh I noticed that few weeks ago, i had paramedics round for my brother and he started to light a cigarette and I said no not now and he said something really rude to me.

Then male paramedic said actually if you don't mind I don't have cigarette smoke at work, so he put it out.

I think it's a male approval thing

OP I am a little in love with your husband.

I occasionally have complete strangers cross the road from the bus stop opposite to walk a few yards up my drive, level with the house , so they can look down the road to see if the bus is coming.

So far none of them have been foolish enough not to move when I have gone out there to remonstrate with them.
