I am in the market for my new mid-year diary and I can't share this excitements with my husband, so I thought I'd come here instead. What have you bought for the next academic year?

I’ll be getting a wall planner from here boxcleverpress.com/collections/wall-planners

Sticker pack from Busy B busyb.co.uk/mid-year-calendar-sticker-202021-refill-x5

I love, love, LOVE my BusyB mid year, Busy Life diary. I'm on my fourth year of them (see picture) and have converted several friends so I now do a bulk order and we get free delivery.
A5 size, so fits easily in handbag or work bag, elastic thingy to hold it together, elastic tab for pencil. They are designed for two people, with a week to a view across each double page spread. I think it is meant to be your schedule on one side on your partner's or children's on the other. But I use it for morning and afternoon so there is plenty of room to write notes. Another friend has work on the left , leisure on the right.
It's one of the highlights of my year, choosing the new BusyB diary. I've gone for Terrazzo this year, although I did wish they would do Breezy Blossoms in the mid year format.

Another vote for calendars and diaries from Boxclever

boxcleverpress.com/collections/diaries So handy they do 16 months so you get the academic year as well.

Noodledoodledoo · 10/07/2020 17:34

My vote is with the Moleskiene one, I used to go for cheap from The Works last year I treated myself to one and (until the world went crazy) it had transformed my life! Week to one page, notepage on other side so I can note down my to do list for the week.

A4 purple Pirong.

A5 Moleskine. I love it SO much

Another vote for BusyB - the first diary I have found to be really useful (that I don't just discard after a couple of months) - love the little pockets!

DanceMonkey19 · 10/07/2020 18:15

boxcleverpress.com/products/perfect-year-academic-a5-diary 😍

Scarby9 · 10/07/2020 19:02

I do like the look of those Boxclever ones - maybe I could be lured away from BusyB after all...

BloggersNetwork · 11/07/2020 05:56

I am in a real predicament now. I like that the boxclever ones are spiral-bound but I don't like the 'shopping list' section in each page - I want this for work. I like the pockets and internal layout of the Busy Be ones.

What does everyone think of this one from paperchase? What I like about it is that it seems bigger than A5 but not as big as A4. No internal pockets though.

You see, I don't like spiral binding on a diary, so maybe I'm not a good person to advise you.
If you don't have pocket pages, you definitely need an elastic fastener to hold all your little bits of paper between the pages. Or you could be very disciplined and copy everything into the diary photographing important documents for reference? I am not disciplined! I like the pockets.

hampstead1234 · 11/07/2020 08:43

I don't do physical diaries and planners anymore. Perhaps I should look and see what is on offer, as I am missing out it seems.

leafeater · 11/07/2020 08:55

I can't do spiral binding either! Every time you take it out of your bag, you have to dislodge headphones, pencils that slide in there, bits of other crap I seem to carry around!

BloggersNetwork · 11/07/2020 09:31

But the spiral allows the diary to sit wide open and flat on my desk. I simply cannot tolerate a diary that won't stay open. This is hard!

@hampstead1234, for me there's no joy to be had in electronic diaries, and I am not a technophobe at all.

I have an online diary too, which is open to work colleagues. Fun Sunday activity is making sure the two are synchronized.
But the detail for work is in my paper diary, and all ( any...) non-work pre-booked activities.
Any spiral bound book I have always got caught on something so the spiral kinks or unwind a bit, then pages don't turn easily or it catches on everything in my bag. Irritating. I don't mind a spiral binding on a book that stays at home, but not one I carry around

Wallabyone · 11/07/2020 11:19

I've just ordered myself a small Boxclever diary Grin

Livingthecovidaloca · 11/07/2020 13:19

If anyone is on a PTA or is looking for a fundraiser Boxclever do really good fundraising packs. We made around £200 a couple of years ago. Your cause basically keeps 40% of the cost of the products.
They make it really easy for you.
Hope I haven’t made it sound like a dodgy MLM, it definitely isn’t!
