Madonna - You'll See
George Benson - The Greatest Love of All
Grace Jones - Private Lives (maybe?)

Pink, Blow Me One Last Kiss. Turned it up loud as I drive out of the car park of a toxic workplace, crying because that bastard had managed to get one final blow to my self esteem in on my last day.

If there was a song called, "What an absolute arse" I'd dedicate it to him. The memory still makes me angry 7 years later.

Hi

Just thought of a couple more:

Dolly Parton- Dumb Blonde
Nancy Sinatra - These boots are made for walking.

There are just great songs anyway (showing my age here!)

aufaitaccompli · 09/07/2020 08:54

Another one, Don't start now by Dua Lipa. Just listening to it in the radio. It's bloody poetic!!

Rage against the Machine - Killing in the name of
Joss Stone - Right to be wrong
VNV Nation - Gratitude
Depeche Mode - Walking in my shoes
Adele - Turning Tables

Radio, Lana Del Ray

I hate you by Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes. I especially love this as he said that while he wrote this about someone else we are probably this person to someone else too.

Pearl Jam - Rearviewmirror

MalmseyWhine · 09/07/2020 20:51

Another vote for Taylor Swift Never Getting Back Together. If I could time travel I would go back and play it to my 20 something self.

Also So What by Pink.

Yes to Bird Set Free

And a golden oldie- Something Inside So Strong (Labi Siffre)

feesh · 10/07/2020 12:15

Ghost by Ella Henderson. “ My friends had you figured out
Yeah, they saw what's inside of you
You tried hiding another you
But your evil was coming through”

EwwSprouts · 10/07/2020 12:25

Something Inside So Strong - Labi Siffre. I know it's about racism but the lyrics are spot on.

ProfYaffle · 10/07/2020 12:28

Florence and the Machine Shake it Out.

"It's hard to dance with the devil on your back so shake him off"

WhatIsAWeekday · 10/07/2020 13:30

Goodness! So many I could say. Some have been written already but..

Rise - by Gabrielle
Not afraid to try it on my own - Whitney Houston.
Doing just fine - Boyz 2 men

Will write when I think of more.

WhatIsAWeekday · 10/07/2020 13:31
