Long shot but desperate - student loans and trust question

I have googled and am none the wiser. Does anyone possibly know what the law is on this.

If someone has a personal injury trust, is this taken into consideration when calculating how much they are able to apply for?

Can't find reliable info on Google. Phoning is a nightmare and slf don't appear to have an email any more.

Are they receiving an income from the trust?

They get £360 a month allowance but the trust also directly pays for things eg their car.

Are they a dependent under 25 - in which case it won't count. If over 25 this suggests it might:

Would the trustees agree to giving one-off amounts when required so it doesn't count as income?

They are under 25 yes.
Yes the trustees would do that.

Thank you.
