Is this withdrawal from antidepressant ?

Stopped mirtazapine abruptly last night as the pharmacy said GP had forgotten to fax over my repeat . Still waiting, they said probably tomorrow or Thursday I can get it . Last tablet was Sunday night .

I feel absolutely shite - poor coordination (I’m dyspraxic so just my usual but worse), very dizzy and faint, chest feels tight, and absolutely exhausted . Can get to toilet and around the house but struggle to do much more . I haven’t moved much all day . Haven’t eaten much either .

Is this just withdrawal or should I be worried do you think ?

Yes, withdrawals. Mirtazapine is a particularly potent SSRI. I spiraled out of control on it (though they affect everyone differently). You're bound to feel rough without it for 48 hours.

I'm currently on Duloxetine and they're an SNRI and are effective almost immediately, rather than the usual 2 week wait for them to absorb into your system. Problem with this, is that the withdrawals begin after 24 hours without my usual dose.
I can not describe how horrendous the withdrawals are, it's like the worst imaginable hangover meets the worst fever you've ever had with dizziness of an epic proportion added on top. Awful.

Correction - Mirtazapine is a NaSSA not an SSRI

Thank you, I was starting to worry there was something else wrong that I’m missing . I’m genuinely struggling to stand up ! Hopefully it’s gotten better by the morning ... it’s a hellish drug but I’m allergic to escitalopram, and duloxetine, and bad reaction to prozac and sertraline so a bit stuck now ...

Yikes. Well don't take my word for it! Sounds like you need to call 111 and request a call back from out of hours Doctor. Let a professional decide. It could be something else Thanks
