Age of puberty

Just been overseeing DSD with the shower routine we have - she prefers I'm helping her over her dad which is absolutely fine as it's more making sure shes washes everywhere and then helping her out/drying/moisturiser.

Anyway, tonight I noticed her body has started developing little boob buds. She's just turned 6 but is the height of a 9-10 year old if that has any bearing.

Is it normal to have early signs of puberty so young? If your DDs started early puberty, what can I do to help her or even prepare her?

I've seen online about children designed deodorant as she's started to show signs of proper sweat recently after running/gymnastics etc. Communication with her mum isn't great so we use a communication book and I feel it will need to go in there for her to take DSD for any crop top style vests etc and I don't want to step on her toes by buying any without giving her the chance to first although DSD does have sports style crop tops here due to her activities.

Her dads in typical dad denial that his little girl is growing up Grin

Six seems awfully young. Are you sure they are breast buds? Is she a healthy weight? I would be a bit concerned, TBH.

I think 6 is very young. She’s year 1? I think you may need to mention this to your DH for him to have a conversation with his ex. If it was my child I would want the dr to have a look over her and refer her to an endocrinologist at that age

She's a really healthy weight for her height at 4 stone 1 and very athletic in her structure too. More muscle than most as she does gymnastics competitions, runs 3-4K with her Dad regularly, ballet, swimming and trampoling.

Always been flat in the chest if you know what I mean but tonight it seems to be little blobs - I'm really not describing this well at all.

Yes she's year 1 but most think she's year 3 when looking at her. I've said to DP I'm a little concerned so he's going to put it in the communication book for next Friday as we do shared care so she's with us until next Friday

My DN had to be monitored for early puberty as it not seldom happens with girls who are taller than average for their age.
She is now a healthy , taller than average woman.

Sounds like precious puberty and should be checked- especially as she is sporty and not overweight:

Thank you for the link. I've just shared with DP and he's currently filling out our GPs online call system for a callback Tuesday. Hadn't realised it was a thing that needed checking over but we would rather be making sure anything that needs checking over is. I'll order this children friendly puberty pack which has roll on deodorant etc but a second one for Mums too. DP gets on well her her grandparents so will make them aware of what the doctors say and the deodorant situation so it's not too much of an issue in the communication book
