I am thinking back to my last baby and wondering something.
I had preeclampsia and was in hospital for 2 months. When the baby was induced, I had a massive placental abuption and had to have a cat 1 csection under General anaesthetic. I lost 2.5litres of blood and had a transfusion while still unconscious.
Later that day, I was feeling boiling hot, but the midwives kept saying my temperature was too low and gave me a special blanket which had warm air blowing into it.
Why would I have reacted like this? What would have caused the low temperature, but me feeling really hot?
I've always wondered Confused

It's like when you have a fever but feel really cold, but in reverse.

It's a well known phenomenon. When people get hypothermia they can sometimes feel so hot they strip off all their clothes, even if the outside temperature is below zero.

It'll be because of the blood loss, you will have gone in to shock.

Ah, I see. I wasn't sure if it was the blood loss or the anaesthetic. Thank you

Probably a combination. Anaesthetic can cause low blood pressure and the blood loss will have made that worse
