Any ideas please? She's very quirky and studious, a self confessed gaming geek girl and she's about to turn 13.

She is obsessed with art but has everything - copic pens etc however she's only interested in graphic drawing on the iPad - and she has a new iPad, Apple Pencil, keyboard etc so sorted there

She's very into gaming but has an Xbox , gaming headset and Beats headphones. She has money on her Microsoft and Apple accounts but doesn't spend it. Had raspberry pi thing but doesn't use it

She isn't interested in clothes or fashion nor does she need an iPhone or anything as already has one she doesn't use. Doesn't want an Apple type watch. Has a Costa gift card.

Any ideas at all please? She's so unassuming that all she's asked for is a pencil case that costs £1 which she can have of course but it's not very much!

If she wants a pencil case get her a pencil case. Don't feel you have to buy something for the sake of it.
If you want to get more then make up a gift box of her favourite treat things - food goodies or bath goodies.
Does she reads magazines? Get a copy of a gaming mag.
Does she read? My 12 year old likes the novels based on the Five Nights at Freddy's and Bendy games.

She sounds great. If the £1 pencil case is what she would like, then go for it.
For backup - Escape room in a box? (Amazon among others do some, that I think are 1 go only as reviews say you have to cut things up, etc). I am a geek at heart and love Escape rooms.

ChipstickCharlie · 29/06/2020 12:09

Yep she will be getting the pencil case but I'm not just handing that over for a birthday present! Just couldn't do it and don't want to.

I'll check out the escape room in a box! That sounds quite good

Would she like a pamper session? Nails, facial or spa etc? Even if you both went together.

frustrationcentral · 29/06/2020 12:27

Hoody
Blanket for her to wrap around her shoulders when gaming?
Wall art? Giant posters in frames?
Rucksack?

FiddlefigOnTheRoof · 29/06/2020 12:34

I’d get her an experience to have with you - something that introduces something new to what is clearly already a very rich and creative life! She sounds lovely.

LunaLoveFood · 29/06/2020 12:50

It won't be on this year but tickets for the next gadget show live?

ChipstickCharlie · 29/06/2020 12:52

No she'd hate a pamper session I'm afraid - not girly at all in that way! Has hoodies and not interested in fashion. Has soft blankets etc

Gadget show tickets is a good idea.

Have decided on

Funko pop
Echo show with hue light
Escape room in a box
Possible tickets for future show

Thank you all!

@FiddlefigOnTheRoof she is SO creative you're right. All graphics stuff. She's never got an Apple Pencil out of her hand!

Some great suggestions and you've all saved the day!

Young Driver experience. My dd who is 14 loves them.....

FredAstaireAteMyHamSandwich · 29/06/2020 15:48

How about a voucher for a photo printing company so she can upload some of her art and have it made into a canvas or photoblock, or a book of her work?

ihearttc · 29/06/2020 15:53

Could you find a graphic designer who would be willing to give her a lesson either in person when this is over or virtually?

Rowgtfc72 · 29/06/2020 16:36

Dd did young driver for her 11th birthday and this year for her 13th we got her 2 hrs in a recording studio.
I would definitely look for some sort of 'experience '.
