Voucher for JL

Have you been given this responsibility via work or something? Because why on earth are you spending 100 quid on someone you don't know ?

coronarona · 27/06/2020 22:58

Yes it's a work thing.

JL voucher is a good shout. Maybe a few nice baby grows and something nice for her then shove the rest on a gift card?

Neals Yard Mother’s Balm
Book for little one with ‘with love from everyone at X company’ written inside
John Lewis voucher for the rest

My work were super awesome and generous when I went on mat leave last month. They got me a whole range of stuff which was lovely. This included:
Basic baby clothes (with the option to exchange if I wanted to)
Muslins
1 baby outfit
Prosecco (for me after baby)
Whisky (for other half)
Chocolates
Money towards a spa day for myself (I'd had to cancel a birthday trip to the spa when lockdown started).

Also a side note, I've been given far too many blankets and bibs so I would suggest avoiding those, I don't know when to use all the blankets. Also I know everyone says buy bigger clothes as gifts but we've been given all 3-6 months which means we don't have much up till then.

Oh work thing.
Well basically a voucher. Boring but useable. Although only John Lewis if the person receiving it actually has a branch nearby. Most towns in the UK don't have them.
Personally if I was pregnant and being given a £100 voucher I would prefer somewhere like B+M (they sell nappies etc, baby clothes, baby toys).
