This is the recipe minus the crumble bit which I'm not adding because I'm just going to have it with greek yoghurt:

Epic fail, didn't really think this one through. There's only me that's going to eat it. All 12 portions!!

Yes. Stewed fruit freezes well.

LimeTreeGrove · 27/06/2020 16:40

If you won't be able to eat it then you may as well freeze it and see what happens. Even if it changed texture it might still be edible

Stewed fruit? Yes, crack on! Will freeze fine. Also doesn’t need defrosting to make crumble with it. Just bung it into the bowl still frozen, put some topping on and straight into the oven.

Ah, thank you. Storm in a teacup then. Now I just need to go buy more tupperware as even I can't start a thread about whether freezer bags are ok to put stewed fruit in

Freezer bags are fine to put stewed fruit in, just put the bag in a bowl to deform in case of leaks

fedupandlookingforchange · 27/06/2020 17:14

Freezer bags are fine to freeze fruit. I've also used margarine tubs

Whywhywhydeliliah · 27/06/2020 17:14

And try it mixed in porridge for breakfast Grin
