Resentment from colleagues who aren’t working from home

NHS. I worked on site during March/April in another role which I was transferred to. About 75% of our department worked from home (we’re all non clinical, operations based).

In May many of them were asked to come back on site. I went back to my original job and was told I would be working from home (social distancing and no office space).

I’ve noticed since then a number of colleagues have been quite frosty. I went on to site yesterday for the first time and two colleagues were out and out rude. I asked them what the problem was and one of them shut up and the other said “oh we’re just tired, it’s very BUSY around here you know”.

I bumped into another colleague this morning in Tesco and she out and out blanked me. Looked at me and then just carried on walking. This is someone I got on quite well with.

Is anyone else finding this if they are WFH?

Meant to say I spoke to a friend at work who I trust who told me well yeah they’re annoyed you’re at home all week, they’ve asked to work from home but they aren’t allowed.

So I’m no just being paranoid

That’s bullying OP and it’s completely unacceptable. Tell your manager as you shouldn’t be spoken to in a rude, aggressive manner by your colleagues for something that is completely beyond your control.

Raise it with your boss
