How the heck you manage to get this during lockdown is beyond me! But primary aged child is really breaking out with molluscum. Chest, stomach, arms...Never dealt with it before with older kids.
Any one have a remedy? I'm going to order Molludab tonight, seems to be a new treatment. But open to any suggestions?

My daughter had these, sounds daft but I put weleda calendula nappy cream on the spots. Did this for a couple of days, they all came to a head and looked worse than ever. Then I stopped applying the cream and the spots just disappeared.

Thanks for this - it’s great to hear there are some fast-healing cases. I’ve read seen some horrible pictures online and panicked fearing the worst! Luckily they are covered under T-shirt’s at the moment. I have DS who is 2 and DD who is 9. Hopefully the redness is a good thing and they’ll start to heal.

Hypochlorous acid/electrolysed water.

You can spray this with abandon. It won't bleach clothes/furnishings and isn't harmful even if swallowed or gets into the eyes.

Once you start using it on one thing you'll use it for everything. I started using it as a disinfectant at home as I have allergies to most cleaning products, even most of Method's range.

I discovered it kills Noro so started using it as a hand sanitiser pre-pandemic and haven't been without it since.

My grand-daughter had MC a year last Christmas. My daughter popped one behind her knee and sprayed a few times a day with a bottle I'd given her. It had cleared by the following Easter.

It's great on cuts and grazes and can even be used on pets as it won't harm them if they lick any areas it's used on.

I started off with Vital Baby Aquaint (available in Boots) but now buy online from Dew Products in Dundee. Other brands like Natrasan and Clinisept are available but Dew are about the cheapest and offer fast delivery. It doesn't have a massively long shelf-life so don't be tempted to buy gallons unless you know you're going to get through it.

Dew also sells a product called Superclean which can be used for general cleaning as well as for skin washing. It's anti-bacterial and has a very similar ingredient in it to Molludab but it won't sting. However, don't buy Superclean as a hand sanitiser as it isn't effective on viruses.

These products re great for eco-conscious or allergy-suffering households. Be aware that there's a faint smell of bleach for a few seconds after using. It's NOT bleach in any way, shape or form, just the form of chlorine released when using. I noticed a few complaints on Amazon about it being watery (people clearly expecting a gel) or being bleach and unsafe so don't be surprised to find something that looks and feels like water but smells like bleach. Just enjoy as it's a great way to clean and stay safe.

DS had them as a toddler. GP told me to pick one. The virus gets into the blood stream and the body will then fight it. They were gone within the month. I also sprayed colloidal silver on them and got something else to drop under his tongue. It was something like black currant but not quite.

My son had this a few years ago. Saw GP who prescribed something but we didn't keep up with it. They eventually disappeared of their own accord. No scars whatsoever.
Also never stopped swimming while he had them
