No wet nappies for a few hours...

My three month old had a long feed (2+) hours at around 7.00pm. He has fed again since then. He hadn't done a wee or a poo since the start of the long feed.

He is okay in himself- seems normal. Soft spot isn't dipped in, doesn't feel particularly hot, is happy in himself.

Or hour long would you leave it without a wee before worrying?

Probably a bit longer but definitely not more than 12 hours.
As it’s so hot have you given a little boiled cooled water? I was told to do this by the midwives with mine who was combination fed because it was very hot. About 20ml I gave.
If you’re not sure and think it’s more serious give 111 a ring and they will advise further.

That's just over 4 hours without a wee? I wouldn't worry about a poo at all, these things happen, especially in this heat. Nappies can be very absorbent he might have had a small wee, again this could be done with his body processing liquid differently because of the heat. Honestly if there are no other symptoms I wouldn't worry. I suppose you could place a piece of kitchen roll or tissue in his nappy to see if he's had wees.

Are you sure he's not done a wee? Nappies can be very absorbent which can make it hard to tell. If his fontanelle isn't sunken and he's alert then I'd leave it a while but keep watching. I'm in the same boat watching my 7 week old who has terrible diarrhea (I'm BFing and on antibiotics which have really upset his tummy) and todays hot weather makes me nervous for him!
