weird blotchy palms - menopause? Deficiency? Something else?

For the past couple of weeks I've had (intermittent) blotchy palms/fingers.

Have any of you had experience of this and can tell me what caused it for you? (I am booked in for blood tests)

At times it looks more severe than others (eg after washing hands). Sometimes there's some tingling or itching.

Whenever I google, I get the result "palmar erythema". However, the articles I have read state that this tends to be on the outer edges of the palm, whereas mine is all over the palm and fingers. And when I google images, it doesn't look quite the same.

I am in the menopause, so that was my first thought. I am also overweight, so it might be a circulation issue. Could it be a deficiency in something? I don't drink to excess, but I am aware it could be a liver issue too.

Any thoughts?

Any chance you have been exposed to COVID? This is a known COVID symptom. Google 'COVID toes' though it happens on the palms of your hands as well. For some people, it's the only symptom they have.

Thanks- I've just googled, and it seems to be more bumps and papules in those cases. Mine is more under the surface, as if it involves the circulation more than the surface of the skin

Hi. Can you google 'Livedo' and see if the images match your hands? It's common in many conditions, including Meniere's disease that can be triggered by menopause.

Had these mottled palms throughout pregnancy. Doctors just shrugged so will hang around in case there's an answer now, 44 years later. No ill effects from it but was odd.

I occasionally get raised red itchy palms. My ex boyfriend was a doctor and didn’t think it was anything of concern. Just used to say it was stigmata to wind me up.

Could it possibly be an allergic reaction?

I get this in warm weather or if I'm generally hot, like after exercise. I've always assumed it was just poor circulation.
