Hello!

I am 23 and work full time.

I finish work at 5 and am home by 5.15. Normally I get changed, cook and dinner is ready by 6. DP and I then watch TV while eating dinner. At about 7.30 I'll work out.

Would love some hobbies, ideas and general suggestions of how to keep myself occupied after work and on the weekends :)
Thank you!

Dont want to waste my life away watching TV! I feel like life gets quite boring working every day and doing the same old day in day out

Have some children ... that’s your hobby time taken up for next 20 years Grin

Could you do an online course ? Go for a walk with dp or a friend ? Could maybe borrow someone's dog to take. Bike ride ?

Following as I'd love some ideas too.
Dp has gone back to work away from home and once dbaby is in bed (at 6pm) I am facing a long evening and cant leave the house. I have ds6 here but he goes to bed at 7.30.
I did a bit of cross stitch last year and found it quite therapeutic - I bought cross stitch kits for making cushion covers so for eg I did some xmas ones in the lead up to xmas and they sers useful.
I've bought a rowing machine which is on the way to me now so I'm going to try and go on that every evening for a bit to pass some time.

Outdoor activity, exercise class, crafts, learning a language, art, reading, baking, when pubs reopen a pub quiz?

I'm giving these suggestions but I do exactly the same as you, although do have kids too. I'm determined, after lock down eases completely, to take up some more hobbies / activities because I'm living in groundhog day!

Walks are a good idea

Having children hahaha! Not for another 4 years or so

I'm not a huge telly watcher. Never understood the appeal. I read. Pre lockdown I went to the gym a couple of nights a week, but you could always go for a walk.

In lockdown, I've spent loads of time playing Animal Crossing on my kids Nintendo! That is my new hobby!

There are these things called books....

kokothedoggy · 20/06/2020 16:35

@proseccobubblefantasies I read thriller books and self help books but I read in the morning with my brekkie
Any book genre recommendations would be appreciated
