How much work are your KS1 kids doing?

Ds does about an hour of English and maths in the morning and then some reading throughout the day.
About twice a week we do a humanties lesson where we pick a country, learn a few words in their language, talk about the country and cook thie food.
DD starts in september and does about 30-40 mins of letter tracing, writing her name and flash cards.
I feel like returning to school will be a hug shock and wonder if we should be doing more? They won't go back before September but I am starting to think about it now.

Not much, maybe half an hour. That’s all they really need, especially one on one. (She’s year 1).

Do a mix of books maths/English/science/telling the time through the week.

She reads bits all day. Bits of books, as part of games on the iPad.

I home educated her brother until he went to school for year 6 so I’m quite relaxed as I’ve seen how it pans out.

They will be fine returning to school. I honestly think parents worry far too much. I’ve seen home educated children start school at all different years in my time (not saying this is anything like home ed, with Ds we were out everyday at activities/social meet ups/classes), but the children were always absolutely fine.

Year 2 child here, does 2-3 hours in the morning then has the afternoon to relax. I've found that plenty of time on a 1-1 basis.

Thanks or your replies. I definitley worry too much!

We do one White Rose Maths in the morning (or two if it's an easy one) then snack, then something else - a story, art lesson, science - that is set by school. That usually takes 30 minutes roughly. Then lunch and a walk if we're feeling good, Cosmic Kids Yoga if feeling lazy. We have 'tablet learning' for an hour in the afternoon - this is either stuff the school have suggested or the Bitesize games or lessons.

Probably adds up to 90 minutes of work (plus tablet learning) , but feels like an absolute age....

They read every night before bed.
