Hi Op I have just sent you a pm - I don't want to share info on the thread.

Just a warning even if you did get a private diagnosis the NHS and council can say they won't accept it.

Check with your local trusts that they would before spending the money. My eldest was diagnosed just turned 2 I called the hospital weekly until they would see him as I knew he needed help which could only come from them.

As he's so young, I'd suggest Daphne Keen or Lorna Wing Centre and let them know his siblings have ASD.

They both diagnose for NHS and private patients, so there will be no "that's not an NHS DX so we won't abide by it" feedback for you which can sometimes happen with private dx.

Don't know if you've seen this sensory booklet but it MAY have some info and strategies to help you. A day-long meltdown over an unexpected morning sound is a very extreme reaction to a sensory stimulus, poor little chap.

I don't think a confirmed diagnose would make any difference, all non life saving treatment has been stopped.

Thanks I’ll have a look i to all these suggestions I just want him to be happier I’ve tried to apply some of the strategies we use but they don’t work for him he seems to have all the same asd traits as the others but alongside he has no attention span whereas they had amazing concentration and attention spans so I can’t work out how to help him manage how he is feeling a s what works for the others doesn’t work for him yet in other ways he’s very similar
