When will you be happy to go on a long train journey?

I know its too soon but the trains are running up and down the country on a limited service. Has anyone travelled on one yet? Iike everyone I am craving some company as I have none at home. There is a big birthday coming up in about three weeks. I know its selfish and irresponsible to sit on a train for three hours then Socialise distantly in the garden if the weathers good. I would have to wear a proper PPE mask for three hours its too much.

When do you think it will be allowed?

It will be quiet!! I can guarantee that. I had a whole carriage to myself.
Some wine n crisps! It was actually very enjoyable

Wouldn’t bother me at all, but I’m not yet ready to visit older relatives. I’m socialising fairly freely with younger people (didn’t have that an active social life anyway!).

Only when I don't have to wear a mask.

Wearing a mask is really no big deal. And I took mine off to drink wine because, well I was totally alone in a carriage for 2.5 hours.

I would do it tomorrow. I recently flew for 7 hours to the UK, with a mask on for the whole 12 hour total travelling time, so a wee train trip wouldn't phase me at all!

Why would you wear a mask if you were the only person in a carriage Confused

Because it’s requires by law?

We're planning to go on a 4 hour train trip in July. We plan to wear masks for the journey (because it's the law), but remove them for eating (we'll be travelling over lunch time). I planned to remove the mask to eat and then put it back on, rather than replacing the mask between bites.
