Before coronavirus I sold a number of clothes on eBay. This was a small business so gave me an income. Is it too early too restart.
My concern is it fair going to the post office and the delivery person.

Yes, I decided this year I'd buy as much as possible 2nd hand.

Why wouldn't it be fair on the postman? I don't understand. Because of C-19? Mine just leaves letters, etc on the doorstep at the moment. No contact.

I would and have been buying clothes off eBay. DS had a growth spurt and I had very little choice. I figured it was ok opened the delivery on arrival then left the items on the side for a while before washing.
The delivery time didn’t bother me as I understood we are in the middle of a pandemic. And most of the drivers I have spoken too are glad they have work although I get this may not be all drivers perspective.

Yes absolutely. My DS is rocking his Hackett and Hilfiger clothes that we'd never waste money on new! Out of the packet, straight into the washing machine and washed hands. All good.

I wouldn't but only because I like to (donate clothes to and) buy clothes from charity shops.

I wouldn't have any worries about covid.

Rubychard · 16/06/2020 20:26

I think you're overthinking this. When I was last in the post office sending parcels, (and this would have been early May) the woman behind the counter said it was (a) busier than christmas (b) they were not judging what people were sending and (c) they were sat behind a screen so were well protected.

In addition, if you were to buy your postage through ebay all you would have to do is hand the package over for scanning.

zigaziga · 16/06/2020 20:29

I don’t understand, is it fair? Most places are re-opening now.

Yes I would. I bought bundles when pregnant etc. Occasionally I go on on the lookout for something particular. Haven’t for a while but that’s not COVID related.

zigaziga · 16/06/2020 20:31

I also wouldn’t have stopped that kind of small business. The post office has always been open - I’ve probably been most weeks during lockdown - and people have been fine to make online orders.

I ordered plenty of second hand kids toys on eBay in April and May.

uncomfortablydumb53 · 16/06/2020 22:22

Yes I would and recently have done
Postman leaves packages on doorstep and I wash hands after opening

TheWashingMachine · 16/06/2020 22:37

I order from ebay and have done throughout lockdown, I think the risk is miniscule.

If the measurements of the garment were were included in the description not just the label size, yes I would.
My clothes range from size 12 to 16 depending on the brand.

Whataloadofshite · 17/06/2020 02:04

I am always doing that, and getting stuff from charity shops. Wash them first and they're totally fine.

vampirethriller · 17/06/2020 07:52

Yes, all our clothes used to be charity shop or Primark, now they're eBay.
