What do you do for fun and laughter in your house?

This morning, dd did something that made me and ds laugh hysterically.
It hit me that kind of laughter just doesn’t happen very often with my family. It just seems that everyone is working, or I’m telling them off or telling them to do things or we’re just chilling on screens or tv.
We do talk and spend time together but fun and laughter seems to be lacking Sad
I would like more of it so any ideas please. Youngest is 8.

My dds are much younger but we like to blast good pop music and disney tunes and have a good dance and sing

My husband doing diy usually gives us all a good laugh. My husband and i take the piss out of each other a lot and have a good laugh

DH made catapults with DDs earlier. Now on a regular basis I hear manical giggling behind me followed by a polesteyrine ball flying past me (or very occasionally hitting me)

Listen to Cabin Pressure and play cricket with a stick of rhubarb.

When my dad comes over to play with my eldest DD. All I hear is hysterical laughter from them having the best time.

Dance around
Make funny faces/noises
Hide and jump out to scare each other
Watch silly, funny films
Play with our cat

We make up silly games to play.
Last week I put the tent up in the living room and let them camp out in it all evening.

Our new favourite DD 10 DS 7 is to turn all the lights out downstairs, blind fold one person and give them a foam toy sword (just what we had lying around) and get them to try and "catch" the eddy of the family while we try to make our way from one end of the living room to the other!

This was so m in more fun then I thought it would be! The kids have been begging us to play it every night!

*rest not eddy sorry fat fingers!

We do a boardgame league table - we take it in turns to pick a board game each week and keep track of who wins. It doesn't sound terribly exciting, but my two daughters (and husband!) are hugely competitive so some of the blatent cheating which they try to get away with is amusing.

My 2 love a game we play called last man standing, we put on a song and have to dance and jump around on one foot - you're out if you put your other foot down at any point, last man standing wins. This makes us all crack up laughing for some reason.

During lockdown and spending more time together I've noticed that they love when I join in with their "fun" stuff, so having a go on their video games (even though I have no idea what to do), I have had water fights with them and they absolutely loved that, playing football with them...
It dawned on me that when they do the things they like that I just let them get on with it when actually they are thrilled for me to join in.
