Do you have a child that is sensitive to uncomfortable clothing? Where can I get really soft, smooth socks?

Dd is a bit sensitive to seams rubbing and clothes being "stiff" especially socks.
In the past we have had to make trips to the shops to touch socks for softness, stretchiness and scratchiness, but can't do that at the moment.
Does anyone have a similar problem and can suggest brands? I have already ordered a few online and had to pass them on to my niece, as not comfortable.
Patterned socks are usually scratchy, and not being stretchy enough is uncomfortable, as is having a seam in the toe. Not being soft enough is also bad, so bamboo might be better. She is still in child sizes.
Can anyone help?

My dd's sensory issues increase massively when she is anxious too.

I have some lovely soft socks that I bought for a pound in Flying Tiger. I'm not even sure what they're made of but they are so soft and comfy. My feet are quite sensitive and a weird shape so I understand where your DC is coming from.

Memory foam insoles have made shoe choice much easier for me as well.

Echo the M&S ultimate comfort which are seamfree. DS has them for school and they last for ages.

Anxiety makes my daughters sensory issues much much worse too. She's 11 now and we've finally found types of clothes and underwear that she can tolerate but age 5-7 was awful. Her wardrobe was so limited already but on anxious days I knew not too push it.

For years all she wore at weekends were flip flops even in the winter!

Another one with a super sensitive child. She will only wear the sensory smart store socks. I was a bit Shock at the price but they’ve lasted over a year so worth it in the long run.

whathappenedtothelego I not sure if anyone else does this, but i went through a really bad patch beginning of this year (a lot of change both at work and in my personal life meant complete burnout and too many meltdowns leaving me in permanent sensory overload for Many weeks it was awful)
But during this time I had to Wear nearly every item of clothing inside out (including underwear) it was the only way I could keep clothes on as it was so painful/uncomfortable otherwise. But numerous pairs of my plain socks Worn inside out meant no seams rubbing on feet. Might just be another thing to consider or try until you can get some other ones. It is interesting to see people’s recommendations though, I will have to have a look for myself.

I massively depend on charity shops for “new” clothes as new clothes generally feel awful. I also tend to live in small men’s clothes because they are just so much softer and looser than women's clothes Blush
