Face masks?

Can anyone recommend somewhere to buy from? There’s so many on the Internet I have to admit I’m completely overwhelmed and can’t see the wood for the trees!

www.teriberry.com for face coverings. I'll be interested to see how the face mask advice progresses and whether any really good advice comes out about when to use them, the fact they are supposed to be single use, how to take them off and dispose of them etc etc as I see an awful lot of completely pointless face mask usage locally.

I second the recommendation for Elle. Pack of 5
washable masks for £14.99. Very comfortable to wear - kind of stretchy like a thick pair of tights and waterproof (Elle make tights so that's probably why 🙂) double layered with ability to add your own filter. They also actually stock a range with an anti viral treatment which has allegedly been tested against Covid. Best to read the scientific claims on the website if that is of interest.

I have bought mine from Etsy, you can get loads of lovely colours/patterns and its a good way of supporting small businesses

I have bought quite a few as I need one every day now I am back at school. I wear glasses so an adjustable nose bridge is important. I also have a thin neoprene one which is comfortable and has space for a filter. I wear and wash at least one a day.

I have gone for comfort then colour and patterns.

I made some from a pattern on the internet, really easy

I got 5 washable ones from B&M for £9.99.

If you have a piece of fabric, some elastic, a wire and something to make a filter with you can make them - the pleated ones that expand to go over your chin and nose.

a sewing machine does make it quicker. I assure you I hardly knew one end of the machine from the other but youtube is your friend, and as someone has told me ' it is only straight lines and ironing'.

I got these ones www.thebigbloomerscompany.co.uk/products/organic-cotton-washable-face-masks-pack-of-2?variant=32297293643861 and they're comfortable and don't make my glasses steam up. DH has odd sized ears and seems to find most masks don't fit him well. I've got DD a few fun printed handmade ones from Etsy with unicorns and dinosaurs on.

I got a few off etsy right after lockdown in a bit of a panic. As we may need to make sure each of us has one or more, I'm considering getting some of these masks with a clear window especially for my kids who struggle with speech.
