Help me plan a nice day

So I've found, as I'm sure many others have, the last few weeks of lockdown particularly hard. Our dc (3&5) are bored, acting up, and in turn we're nagging them and on their backs the whole time.

It's making me feel pretty rubbish tbh.

I want to plan a day of nice things to feel connected again. Please tell me I'm not alone, and also pas on any ideas?!!

Can you get out somewhere new? I find change of scenery and fresh air/exercise is always a winner.

Have you watched any of the virtual Chester zoo videos in YouTube? If not could you have a lockdown tour of the zoo, get any teddies off zoo animals they’ve got out and make a picnic like you would on a day out

Make a fort? You could watch movies and sleepover in it?

Try and get a slot for your nearest national trust place that’s open.

Weather looks better from Saturday so why don’t you plan a picnic with special things you have baked even if it’s only jam tarts.

Picnic rug, special treats, football......spend the day just enjoying them and then arrange for Sir Whippy to deliver ice cream to your house.

Takeaway for you and Dh and a bottle of wine.

We've been obeying lockdown quite strictly and live in central london where everything is quite busy. But yes we probably should find somewhere new to go!

Have a day out. You're allowed, pack the car up with picnic stuff/beach stuff toys and go.

Take a scavenger hunt bingo for each child to cross off as you go. (Spot a shell, red car, bird etc).

Check in advance where you will be able to use toilets, kids can use a travel potty at that age (or the nearest drain Grin).

Make a playlist for the car and pretend you're on holiday
