Hi, so sorry if this is in the wrong place, I couldn't find the appropriate place so please move if appropriate.

This situation is relating to my Mum who has a court order from 1994 when she divorced my Dad. The court order was placed in the UK and states that my Dad must pay my Mum, as part of the divorce settlement, a proportion of his pension every month.

He has paid this up until a few months ago (perhaps missing the odd month a year). He has now stopped paying it.

He now lives in another country in Europe and has done for over ten years.

We did a land registry search and established that he owns a property in the UK (inherited from parents and now rented out) but he registered address is the family home which we know was sold a number of years ago and he still has no interest in.

Sorry this is lengthly.

Does anyone know if this I worth persuing legally? My Mum has little money and is reliant upon his pension.

We are pretty sure he is still alive but cannot be certain (he is cut off from all family members but has an active facebook group, although mainly private).

Can Mum legally persue him in another country? Without incurring much cost? Is it worth employing a solicitor? I know we can possibly get a free appointment but she is currently shielding so I am just seeking some high level overview heads up here.

Is it simple to persue somebody legally in a country in Europe?

Thanks in advance.
