Is anyone finding it harder to find kids clothes?

Maybe it's because I am mostly buying clothes right now from supermarkets. Trying to get my dd leggings as she is wearing home clothes to school ( year R). I went into Tesco, Asda and Morrisons and got six pairs in total. However 1/4 of the girls clothes in Asda was decimated and they only really had stock in ages 1-3.

I wonder if this is a ongoing supply issue or just because these shps are the only ones open?

I was toying with getting some new uniform but have decided it's pointless until I know for sure she will need it come September which seems unlikely

Can you order from next? M&S?

MrsHuntGeneNotJeremyObviously · 10/06/2020 08:23

Agree. DD is 12 - I found one pack of 3 leggings in Morrisons in her size. Lots of online stuff is out of stock. Luckily I've managed to get her some women's joggers in a small size and did get some tops from h&m for her, but the supermarkets are awful right now. There's plenty of baby stuff but nothing for kids in that awkward bracket between child and adult. She's too old for unicorn shit but not old enough for women's clothing.

I'm struggling to find anything in stock in DTs sizes, particularly underwear.

Yep. My 11 year old has some very interesting combinations right now. Good job he has very few cares about clothes!

Yes
I’ve been buying the kids things from eBay as I can search their sizes and brand new with tags etc

Tried to get items on Next website and their sizes in joggers / tops etc are showing as “ currently unavailable “

I’m assuming a backlog in production from other manufacturing countries ?

Legoandloldolls · 10/06/2020 08:58

Looking on Next it's the same issue. Filtering down says they have 140 in her size but it's more like 50 and they are all expensive concession like Frugi and Nike so not great for getting five pairs for school.

I will look on M&S and H&M but they was looking depleted the last time I checked too

Yep.

I've noticed it on ebay too. Bundles of leggings that I would buy for DD as playwear going for £5 when I used to get them for £1.50

My children are younger and I've had no problems finding stuff in our local Sainsbury's - though the stock of adult clothes is less impressive. My toddler has gone up a clothes size during lockdown and is now dressed head to toe in Tu at Sainsbury's!

I've not needed to buy any clothes so I can't comment but I've had issues with shoes. I really struggled to get DS his first shoes as he's walking ended up managing to find one pair that had fallen down the display in Asda in a size 3. He was in need as he was walking but had no shoes! I've ended up on eBay to get DD some size 6 shoes as she's grown out of ( and ruined ) her shoes, I didn't have any ' ready to go' for her. My local Tesco, Asda and M&S didn't have any.

I've just ordered pants and joggers for my 3 year old from sainsburys. Stock seemed better than M&S, H&M etc. Agree ebay prices have gone up, so i'm getting all his outgrown stuff on there asap :p
