I just want your take on this.
My neighbours has just become a grandparent to a boy in Scotland we live in England. She her hubby her daughter and her grandaughter have just driven to Scotland to see the new baby. And will stay for 5 days she said.
The neighbour does not social distance and has friends over most days. I'm so cross about this. What would you do?

They're a bunch of selfish cunts. Report them absolutely- the rest of us aren't sticking to this because it's fun or convenient. My father in law just lost his sister (who he wasn't allowed to visit in hospital to say goodbye to) They should have put up road blocks at the bloody border

Curtains 💕🙏🏻💕

chrislilleyswig · 05/06/2020 20:46

Fuck minding your own business OP. I despair of posters who think like that

I'd report to the police in a minute. We're sticking to our lockdown rules here, certainly where I live, and don't want the virus coming up from England.

Report them. England might have given up on lockdown but Scotland is being a bit more cautious. We don't have the medical infrastructure to deal with the influx from the south.
Anyone coming in to our village is noticed and the police have been called a couple of times. One person bringing the virus could literally kill half the village!

thatmustbenigelwiththebrie · 05/06/2020 20:52

I'm in Scotland and hardly anyone I know is adhering to lockdown and I have seen so many rule breakers. So it's not any different here.

Chochito · 05/06/2020 20:52

Report them, OP.

disorganisedsecretsquirrel · 05/06/2020 22:13

Sunnydays12345 Gestapo ????

Ok . Yes of course. Trying to stop people dying is just the same as the m.o of the Nazi secret police ... well known for their humanitarian side.

Give your head a wobble and think about the 40,000 + families who WILL be taking this seriously.

GoneFishingAgain · 05/06/2020 22:21

You either mind your own business or report hem to the police...

Candyflosscookie · 05/06/2020 23:52

Oh please report her Op. We don't want virus visitors. We have enough fuckwits of our own to deal with.

Nicola says stay in yer bloody hoose or she'll tak a run and stick her toe up the crack o' yer airse. Grin

Scotland is allegedly in lockdown.
It's not- it's being flouted just like in other parts of UK.

For her own reasons this individual wants to see her grand child and family.

Yes there are risks to this but I really think it is non of your business.

People are making their own interpretations of the rules.

I work with an individual who is wearing a mask everywhere but travelling 80 miles every weekend to see grandchildren. Personally I think thats wrong but it's her decision and she has made analysis of risk supporting her daughter/her own wellbeing mental health.

We have to learn to live with this pandemic and we also need to learn to risk assess.

Ultimately it's not your business.

BeltaneBride · 06/06/2020 07:48

Mind your own business! Can't believe anyone would be so mean spirited as to tell the police to stop neighbours in this situation. This situation is clearly highlighting some really horrible spitefulness latent in some peopleAngry

SnuggyBuggy · 06/06/2020 07:53

Maybe get a hobby or something so that things like this don't occupy so much of your mental space.

TitianaTitsling · 06/06/2020 08:12

Agree Beltane if you feel righteousness in reporting to the police that's up to you, but own it and let them know it was you who did so.

Veronicat · 06/06/2020 08:42

So Boris states NOT to travel to Wales and Scotland as they are still in lockdown and its NOT permitted and people on here think that it is perfectly OK to do?🤦‍♀️

BissueTox · 06/06/2020 09:12

@sunshinemaker I think I know you Wink we discussed this yesterday afternoon.
