Advice on covering this fence please

After my gardening thread where a “gardener” hacked away all of our bushes I am now left with the eyesore of the neighbours fence. We could see it before but there was more greenery to divert the eye!

Can I have some ideas please of making this look better and also to gain some privacy back as our house is sideways in and so now the neighbours in their garden can see straight into my main living space as we have french doors the full length of the room. A temporary solution for a few years would be good as I’m hoping we can get some plants growing again next year.

Just to add- that’s a google image of the fence type, not my actual house!

Totally agree with the above. Also has some just now. But it’s dear wherever you buy it.

Or for a cheaper fix get some of those bamboo type screens as they are less than half the price.

Thank you. Do you know how they fix on?

Just cable tie it.

Russian vine, known as mile-a-minute would cover quickly and is relatively easy to get rid of when you don't need it anymore

If you cable tie it on next door may see the ties and object so presumably you’d have to ask them first if it’s their wall?

Bluntness100 · 05/06/2020 09:50

Blimey if they are the sort to be offended by a few tiny cable ties you’ve got much bigger issues at play here,

Perhaps your NDN are planning on planting something else? They’ve lost their privacy too, wonder why they’ve done it?

Bamboo in pots maybe or as others have suggested a screen of some sort?

Are you on speaking terms with them?

We don’t know neighbours well but have had no issues with them. They don’t live in the house much as they travel and have a boat but are obviously home all the time at the minute.
