Just ate an entire pack of chicken pate.
Felt bit sick.
Recalled something about page and pregnancy. Googled it.

Now I feel very sick and twatish.

Not even my first rhodeo.
😭

Chill. If you were forced by the pregnancy, it wasn’t something you could help. Just remember, the list of things you can and can’t consume keep changing.

And google is not your best friend when you are worried about something.

BobbieDraper · 02/06/2020 20:09

Pate has always been one of those "do not eat during pregnancy foods" so dont know why the previous poster is telling you not to trust Google.

You've done it now; just make sure you dont do it again.

You'll be fine OP. The advice is just that. Advice. Not rules. Plenty of other countries have different advice yet their citizens are all still having live births.

Maybe just try and reduce the amount you eat of it if you can x

NoNeedToArgue · 02/06/2020 20:19

It won't make a blind bit of difference. Don't worry, move on!

Caterpillierfoot · 02/06/2020 20:23

One packet at 20 weeks, I won’t bring eating it again but I’ll be bloody paranoid till October.

When I had my first this wasn't a thing and I ate it throughout pregnancy. I wouldn't suggest you do this now as obviously current information says not to, but please try not to worry.

Leopardprintcurtains · 02/06/2020 20:29

I ate an entire pack of poppadoms and raita before midday today and don’t have any excuse for it other than stress and boredom.

Also a twat as we were having curry for tea. Obviously minus sides.

Livedandlearned · 02/06/2020 20:34

Is the risk the fact that you could get Listeria from eating pate? So if you don't catch it within a few days then the risk is gone? Or am I totally wrong?

Caterpillierfoot · 02/06/2020 20:58

From what I briefly read listeria can hang about for months.
