What to wear to bed in the heat

It's very hot tonight and our bedroom is dry and roasting in the summer. I'm comfortable just wearing knickers to bed.
However, my dd aged 4 still comes in with us at some point during the night. Should I wear a vest?
She knows what I look like naked and happily jumps in the bath with me if I forget to lock the door.
I suppose that as I'm usually in some sort of nightwear and she's very cuddly.
Maybe I should stash a vest under my pillow and whip it on when she comes in.
What do you all do?

Nothing...maybe a thin cotton sheet and that's it.

Ginandbearit1 · 30/05/2020 23:18

I'd wear a vest and knickers ready for when she jumps in.

AudacityOfHope · 30/05/2020 23:18

She's 4, does it matter? I guess if you feel uncomfortable then stick a vest on but I personally wouldn't bother. Then you'd be even hotter, plus have a wee body attached to you!

A thin cotton nightie/nightshirt might be more comfortable.

Nothing

Northernsoullover · 30/05/2020 23:20

I find I'm hotter in the buff Wink than I am in a thin cotton night dress

Apart from anything else, a layer of cloth between you and a hot cuddly child may be less sticky than skin to skin.

A cotton night shirt. Looks like a man's shirt.

DS5 likes to come in to my bed too, he's generally naked though, despite me putting him in PJ's at bed time...he always strips off and sleeps naked 🙄

I went with a vest and I'm glad that I did because its a bit chilly now.
