I think it's probably about time I replaced my falling to bits one.

I tried to buy the ikea box one back in November but a member of staff said it was discontinued :(

A cylinder grater, like the old Mouli type.
Far and away better than any other for cheese.

We've got this Ikea one but it's no longer available, it's reversible with fine and coarse sides. Also a couple of microplanes but the DCs find the box one easier, I mainly use the microplanes for zesting citrus fruit or grating nutmeg, the box one is better for a coarse cut.

We buy block and grated too, price per kg is about the same and it's handy for cooking. I was snobby about it for a long time before realising it's a very useful product. Sussex Charmer is also delicious.

I use the food processor and do a block at a time.
