Can you use other people’s toilets if you visit

My dad has asked to visit now we can’t have people round in the garden. He has kidney issues so will use the toilet regularly. I’ve said he can’t come round as the rules don’t appear to let people use toilet in other households. I’ve seen some people say it’s okey though.

Yes, you're supposed to clean it afterwards though.

legalseagull · 29/05/2020 09:29

Yes there's official guidance on it, saying it's fine if you clean everything they touch

Yes. Of course.

To make it easier on yourself leave kitchen roll for him to dry his hands on or a separate hand towel.

hermionegrange · 29/05/2020 09:58

Yes of course he can. It's in the guidelines to wash everything.

People need to use some common sense with these rules too,

Yes, but Chris Whitty would really rather you didn’t.

dementedpixie · 29/05/2020 10:11

In Scotland it's not allowed.

They did say yes if the person using it cleans it afterwards. I'm not keen on wipes so I've always got a roll of kitchen roll and antibacterial spray on hand in the bathrooms.
