Is this bullseye rash lyme disease?

Anyone? The nurse practitioner at the surgery said it just needs antihistamines but if it is lyme disease I need antibiotics and fast. But then if it isn't I can calm down and not bother. Anyone know?

Not sure, but you could push for a second opinion (I would)

It does look like it and clinicians should be erring on the side of caution. Unfortunately some staff are fairly useless when it comes to lime disease (and I'm saying that as a nurse myself)

I had similar last year, had just come back from a part of Croatia where it is endemic, but was told by the practice nurse that as there are no ticks in Croatia (untrue) and I hadn't seen a tick, that it couldn't possibly be Lyme. Told me after also speaking with a GP to apply moisturiser if it was itchy (it wasn't) Ended up ordering treatment from an online pharmacy. All a mess really. Have changed surgery since.

I've sent a message asking for a face to face review but I think I'll get something online then. Is going to a+e excessive? I just don't know what to do.

I've had Lyme disease and that looks like it to me. The main thing is that a Lyme disease tick bite 'tracks ' so what I did was drew round the outside of the red patch with a biro and if it then travels outside of the line it's Lyme. Better too be safe though so get it looked at even if you go to A&E because it goes in stages. I caught mine at stage one so a strong course of antibiotics and it was sorted but if it goes beyond that stage it's very serious indeed.
