Anyone up? In serious pain!

Just a handhold really - I think it's trapped wind.
I've had it a few times recently but it's getting worse. I had it last night and again tonight, both times I'm throwing up and it is excruciating. My back is killing too, it comes in periods of ten mins of so then retreats for a while. I do pass gas as it eases so I think it is that but I'll be going to the doctor to check. I'm so tired, all I want to do is go to sleep.
Sick of my digestive system - I've had my gall bladder out and have suffered diarrhoea for years.
I need a hug!!!

Please ring 111 at least. I don't want to worry you but those symptoms could be signs of something serious (nausea, chest and back pain and exhaustion can all be symptoms of a heart attack.)

Ring for help.

Experimenopause · 26/05/2020 00:34

Do ring 111 just to be sure. Chronic pain is a bastard. Flowers

AntiSocialDistancer · 26/05/2020 00:34

Please call 111. I know someone who had this, it was gastritis so none threatening but she was still damn relieved to get morphine.

Sounds like kidney stones! Please call 111

OrlandoInTheWilderness · 26/05/2020 00:37

I've had it 6 times in the last couple of months and rang 111 a week ago with it. I'm sure it isn't a heart attack.

Just in case, female heart attacks do presemt differently Flowers

"Some women experiencing a heart attack describe upper back pressure that feels like squeezing or a rope being tied around them, Goldberg said. Dizziness, lightheadedness or actually fainting are other symptoms to look for."

Shortness of breath, sweating, nausea etc all red flags.

QuestionableMouse · 26/05/2020 00:38

Also please don't hesitate to use 999 if you can't get through to 111 in a reasonable time. Severe pain needs to be checked out (told that by an A&E doc)

SimplySteveRedux · 26/05/2020 00:38

I was going to suggest gallstones, but see you have no gallbladder, could be pancreatitis though. For the bile diarrhoea ask your GP for Creon, sorted mine out very quickly.

SimplySteveRedux · 26/05/2020 00:39

(Although you can produce gallstones without a gallbladder).

AntiSocialDistancer · 26/05/2020 00:41

PS - same woman i mention earlier had a similar medical history, 999 suspected heart attavk but was ok. (Better safe than sorry)

Just as an FYI - she was later diagnosed with a condition calles Bile Acid Malabsorption, a complication not disimilar to IBS after have a gall bladder removed (as I understand it).

Still seek care tonight. Google can wait till tomorrow. Remember doctors have the good drugs!

OrlandoInTheWilderness · 26/05/2020 00:42

Thanks all. I think it is easing thank fuck. No lightheaded ness or chest pains. Some excellent gurgling going on and 💨 (tmi!!!).

I'm booking an appointment tomorrow. Sick of this shit!

I don't know what it is but wanted to offer the ((())))
(Is that the symbol for hugs? Looks more like a vagina to be honest).
Hope you feel better soon

OrlandoInTheWilderness · 26/05/2020 00:45

@Iggi999 I appreciate the gesture, be it hug or vagina!!!

Glad you're feeling better. Sorry if I scared you, my aunt had a heart attack that was almost missed.

Likethebattle · 26/05/2020 01:21

Please call 111, DH had those exact symptoms and I took him to hospital. They were convinced it was kidney stones (he said he felt as though if he could pass wind it would go). The ooh GO said kidney stones, a surgeon looked and said it was kidney stones (he had an x-ray and fresh finger up the bum check to rule out anything else). Up to the ears and was given morphine, in the morning rounds the head doctor said. Not kidney stones just a severe UTI. He was fixed after more morphine and anti biotics. It could be similar.

Likethebattle · 26/05/2020 01:22

*greased finger, hope it was fresh!

MrsTumbletap · 26/05/2020 01:23

Have you tried deflatine?

Have you eaten garlic, onions, or any of the high FODMAP foods?

Guiltypleasures001 · 26/05/2020 01:25

Have you any mint in the garden or mint tea bags?

If so brew a hot water mint tea it's helped me a lot in the past
Feel better soon

Ilovesausages · 26/05/2020 01:38

Yeah peppermint tea is amazing for sore stomachs.

Poor you OP - trapped wind can be so unbelievably painful :(

Leicester5 · 26/05/2020 01:38

Fresh ginger is good as well
