Telephone wires - would you want this sorted?

Living at my mum’s at present in old bedroom . Bedroom is set up for sky multi room with a very old set up . All unplugged except for phone lines running into the sky box - and coming out of bedroom wall . Was trying to set up TV tonight to see if it works (pointless tbh) and a bit worried about wiring system .

I don’t understand electrics/sky set up etc at all, and I don’t think it was Sky who did this set up although suspect they must have done at least something .

Bedroom wall has three white wires running around it. Two white wires joined and third white one has like a telephone socket thingy on it (splicer?) . bedroom has never had a phone in it so suspect it was for Sky which was at one point in all three bedrooms ...

Two of the white wires run directly into the Sky (so something to do with the dish) and third one runs round perimeter of bedroom and through the wall to the next bedroom .

Anyway . Wiring on the one that’s not connected to the Sky - the one that’s got like a ‘thingy’ on the end of it - is exposed, can see copper wire at the end . Wire is not in contact with anything except the carpet . Is that safe - do I need to be trying to do something about it and if so, what? Can it spark/cause a fire ?

As I say I’m clueless about this and it’s probably nothing to worry about but just not sure !

the two wires that run 'into the Sky' (I assume you mean to the dish) are the the satellite feed. Plug those into a freesat box and you'll get free satellite TV. No current. Sky boxes normally turn into freesat boxes if you have no subscription.

the other one looks to be a phone or broadband line. Probably doesn't work but even if it is connected to any phone line, it isn't mains voltage and you are quite safe.

it is sensible to have a landline connection and a corded phone in every house. That means you have comms in case of a power cut.
