Telescope for space mad 9yo

Can anyone recommend a good first proper telescope for my DS? He's obsessed with space and has asked for one for his birthday next month.

We've had all the toy/for kids ones and he wants something more powerful now to see Saturn's rings, Jupiter etc.

Celestron seems to be a make that keeps cropping up in my research, but they make hundreds!

Ideally, it would link to an app or something to make it easy to find stuff (as I have no clue!)

Should add budget is about £200, up to £250. Bit higher this year as he obviously won't be having any sort of party.

This is a great first scope although be aware that it's big and heavy and a child will need help setting it up and then probably finding things to look at.
The book "turn left at Orion" is great for new astronomers.
Whatever you do, avoid anything that comes from a toy shop etc

Celestron Powerseeker 70AZ. Very easy to set up and very light and easy to manipulate.

Thank you, will have a look at those. Happy to help him set up and find stuff, just can't imagine I'll be any help with the latter!

DH is a very active amateur astronomer and always recommends this one as a first telescope www.firstlightoptics.com/dobsonians/skywatcher-skyliner-150p-dobsonian.html
