Can anyone help with google search history?

I work with a small team, we have a shared gmail account for work emails, mainly to use the shared calendar.
Before I was furloughed I was signed in on my phone and I've just realised today I was still signed in 🙈 have been for nearly 2 months.

Can my colleagues see everything I've searched on google in that time? Can they see which websites ive been using on my phone?

Currently I want the world to swallow me up thinking about it. I cant even remember what I've searched, theres nothing criminal or super dodgy but probably a lot of "is it okay for my child to xyz" and "check my symptoms" 🙈 I have also definitely searched for jobs and college courses. I enjoy my job I really do but I just want to have a better career.

Will they be able to see this? If they can see my Google searches can they also see which websites I've typed into my Samsung internet? I'm ill thinking about this

Stay logged in, go into the google settings and clear all the history just in case. I seriously doubt anyone would have looked anyway.

Nikhedonia · 20/05/2020 17:50

Have a look at the page where you have been searching, look in the top right hand corner - does it show the company email address? If yes, then they can.

I cant I logged out straight away and cant remember the password. Most probably wouldn't look but one young woman definitely would. I'm mortified

As long as you haven't been looking at porn or anything illegal I wouldn't worry. In future use incognito mode!

Redwren · 20/05/2020 17:54

Well god I want to die. I just type in the top box of my Samsung internet. theres a G for Google at the side.

It wasn't you who stayed logged in. I don't know who did but it wasn't you. Who searched "how do I stop my ears smelling like fresh haggis?" not me. Oh no. What on earth are you talking about crazy colleague?

BloomedAgain · 20/05/2020 18:01

Exactly. How will they know which of you searched?

Redwren · 20/05/2020 18:03

If they can see I've been using mumsnet they will know it's me, I'm the only mum in our small team. Now I'm panicking they can see all my posts on mumsnet.

Lots of people who use MN aren't mums.

Redwren · 20/05/2020 18:11

I wasnt trying to cause offence with that. I'm sure of the 7 of us only two of us would use it and combined with other searches/websites theyd guess it was me

I wasn't offended (I'm a mum) just wanted to say that lots don't so that doesn't necessarily out you. Smile

TorkTorkBam · 20/05/2020 18:39

You seem a bit too panicked.

Why would anyone ever think to go and look at the search history linked to a shared business calendar?

TorkTorkBam · 20/05/2020 18:43

See & control your Web & App Activity
If Web & App Activity is turned on, your searches and activity from other Google services are saved in your Google Account, so you may get more personalized experiences, like faster searches and more helpful app and content recommendations.

You can turn Web & App Activity off or delete past activity at any time.

Note: If you got your Google Account through work or school, you might need to contact your administrator to turn on the Web & App Activity additional service for your organization.

Looks to me like it is v unlikely the search history was saved given the default is to have it switched off for work accounts.

BlackWhitePurple · 20/05/2020 19:38

If it's a work account that you all share, your searches will be mixed in with everyone else's anyway. So they might see you've searched for Mumsnet, but that doesn't necessarily mean that it was also you who searched for the next thing on the list.
