Hi all
I have a machine that seems to be tripping out and burning the fuse when I turn it on and press a certain button and I’m unsure why?

I’m not sure what I can do so any suggestions please?

I’m in the UK
Thank you in advance x

Agree with everything DGRossetti says. If it were me, I would have a go at making it work, purely as a professional challenge. However, I am me.

If I was using this machine as the basis for a business, then everything changes. I can't prove it's safe, and I wouldn't want to have to explain to my liability insurer if it went wrong. Do not use it.

The seller you got this from is not reputable.

@evilkitten

Thank you. Yes I want it to work for myself now. I’ve gathered I’m going to have to buy a new professional system for my clients however I will try and fix the machine for myself as I refuse to let £270 go just like that - especially when I have never actually be able to use the thing lol.

Thank you

Is the seller in the UK? If they are and they won't refund you, you can take them to the small claims court.

How did you pay? You might be able to get the money back via your card.

Did you claim against the Amazon A to Z guarantee?

@goingoverground

Honestly I’m unsure where the seller is. And yes I’m not sure what amazon A to Z is but I filed a complaint and I got in contact with amazon customer service who then got in contact with the seller. The seller’s argument was the machine was working and as I didn’t realise it wasn’t working for a few months after buying it (as I didn’t have an immediate need for it so I stored it away in the box safely) - they have said it passed the warranty and as the machine was working when I received it; it’s not their fault. 🙄

I obviously fought against it and said I want a refund because fair enough I didn’t use it for a few months so I didn’t notice the fault - but regardless it is faulty and I’m still yet to use the machine.

I honestly don’t think I’m going to get my money back. I will have to see if I can repair or simply cut my losses 😟

It's not faulty though. There isn't an issue with the quality of the goods/it breaking down. You've been sold an item that is not as described/fit for purpose. It can't ever work in the UK as it was sold and it is dangerous. It couldn't have ever worked when it was sold as it doesn't work on UK voltage so they can't claim that is was working when you received it. You can't "repair" it, only "modify" it.

If you click on the name of the seller on your "past orders" it will give you their details eg VAT number/Company number so you can see if they are in the UK. It also gives info about the A-Z guarantee.

What is the name of the seller on Amazon? I'll look it up for you, if you want.

Thank you all again for your help.

@goingoverground thank you, I will check again with the seller details and see what can be done about the machine Smile
