What do you think would’ve been the outcome if Mariánne/connell had posted on mumsnet?

Just that really. Was thinking about this earlier and am curious what the advice would have been and the outcome of their relationship?

I guess it might’ve gone very differently...but would it have been worth it not to have had what they ended up having??

They’d both get their arses handed to them depending on which part of the book they posted about. Marianne should do worse than Connell overall in the opinion/fault stakes but this being Mumsnet probably wouldn’t.

Let's remember that these are kids. Young at 17:18 when we meet them. Until about 20:21. Yeah old enough to get married and have kids blah blah. But realistically given their back grounds their still pretty young and innocent- not worldly. When you look at the situ Marianne gets into in Amsterdam, wow. The thought that this could be my 21 year old DD is terrifying. Yet the depth of their understanding of each other is beyond their years.
