Just wondering if this is illegal or not

Even if you walked past you can clearly see inside

None of that matters. Stop spying on them.

So what OP? Carpet fitters can work- yes, why on earth would it be 'illegal'. Find something else to do.

Stop spying on your neighbours OP. You are coming across as creepy even if you don't mean it. I could see this type under a dictatorship and encouraged to report for a reward.

As an aside, what qualifies as an essential carpet? That always puzzled me since I first saw it.

Sparklingbrook · 16/05/2020 11:08

Blimey. Neighbourhood Watch at it's finest. Grin Do the back garden.

You’d hate me then, I’m currently having a new kitchen fitted that was due to start just as we locked down. The suppliers are open again so my fitter called and asked if we were happy for him to start. The fitters all work together but I have closed off internal doors so we don’t come into contact with them.

I’m sure there are judgy neighbours in my street but tough, they aren’t breaking the law as they can’t work from home.

WorraLiberty · 16/05/2020 11:20

Nope, still creepy OP.

Just because you can see through someone's window into their home, doesn't mean you should stare into it and then update the internet with the details.

Nicknacky · 16/05/2020 11:21

WorraLiberty And she has started another thread asking if she should report someone who has a person in their house......

MuthaClucker · 16/05/2020 11:24

But how do we know the carpet fitting isn’t a front, for more nefarious goings on? I reckon you could roll up what, two or even three fairly short party animals in your average roll of non essential carpet?
Few tinnies and snacks in the toolbag and you’ve got yourself a party goin’ ON 🎉

Sparklingbrook · 16/05/2020 11:37

Maybe they will bring a body out disguised as a rolled up carpet...

Lardlizard · 16/05/2020 11:45

Mental.

Even if it wasn’t allowed, what skin is it off your nose?

You are only responsible for your own behaviour lardlizard. As long as you keep yourself safe that is all that matters.

Being isolated we can get fixated on what others do. It is not healthy to be spending this amount of time watching and timing visitors and looking into their homes. Enjoy the peace of your garden and the birds instead or you will become bitter. There is so much positivity in the world still which you are overlooking by being mean spirited sorry.
