How to stop eating constantly?

Since lockdown, I seem to just constantly eat, this has always been a issue and I find a snack a lot, does anyone have any suggestions on either healthy snack ideas or ideas to stop me snacking? I have a sweet tooth!
Last year I went from a size 14 to 10 but due to the fact I'm shielding now I cant get out to do exercise!

Fruit teas and flavoured water are good, as is weak cordial. Could you find something else to do? Drawing or keeping a diary might he helpful too. Good luck op

I've found that just accepting the constant snacking, but keeping the overall daily calories in check has worked best.

So maybe switch to 5 small, rather than 3 big meals.

Keep snacks healthy - carrot sticks, cucumber sticks, bit of fruit, rice cake or popcorn etc.

Healthy snack followed by one sweet thing. So, rice cake, wait a bit, then carrot sticks, wait a bit, and then cup of tea with one square of chocolate. Takes ages to eat, so works for constant snacking/boredom eating but isn't actually too many calories/too unhealthy.

Can you just buy only enough food for actual meals? I’ve found doing this as well as lockdown (not going out to buy snacks) has helped and I’m losing weight now

I have a daughter and husband, who eat snacks so can't just buy for the meals! I don't drink hot drinks, it's just snacks I really struggle with and Coke Zero too!

Coffee is good, especially black. You don’t feel like eating. I feel your pain with the fizzy juice. I just can’t buy it.

You need to address the biology behind your desire to constantly eat. It’s not just a willpower thing.

I imagine you are snacking on carbs foods...crisps, chocolate, fruit, bread, pastry? I imagine that you are wanting a snack every couple of hours...literally craving them? These carbs snacks do that to you. And almost everyone.

You need snacks that don’t raise your blood sugar and insulin, so cold meats, cheese, eggs. Look up the blood sugar diet, ketogenic diet, low carb diets to understand what I’m talking about. Read the obesity code by Jason Fung.

Your desire to snack is perfectly normal given the food you are currently eating.

NB. If you switch to low carb snacks immediately, please know that your cravings will get worse before they get better. You have a small withdrawal period of a couple of days to a week, so don’t expect miracles overnight!

Fruit?

Sweet popcorn isn't too bad.

Or just go for healthy, with a sweet chaser. Carrot sticks and one square of chocolate.

I started snacking at the start of lockdown and had to stop - I'm already overweight! I've actually managed to lose a couple of lbs in the process. My advice: don't snack. Just don't. I'm terrible- I can't just have one biscuit or a few crisps. I'm very all or nothing! So I have breakfast, lunch and dinner and nothing in between. If everyone else is snacking go and do something else until temptation passes. Well done on your weight loss!
